A new guide, developed by national, state and territory consumer protection agencies, aims to help personal services businesses such as Massage Therapists clarify their rights and obligations when problems arise between yourself and the consumer such as misleading of your services, and incorrect use of coupons.
Personal services: An industry guide to the Australian Consumer Law covers key aspects of the law such as sales practices, deposits and refunds.
The guide focuses on issues where:
- industry bodies have asked for more detailed guidance for business
- consumers frequently report problems to consumer protection agencies.
