Specifically for therapists who avoid treating the hip because of its size and weight, this session will introduce you to several Mulligan techniques for the coxal joint using a mobilisation belt. These techniques will assist you to treat a variety of hip conditions (such as osteoarthritis, non-replacement hip surgeries and stiffness relating to low back pain) while saving your back and maintaining occupational health and safety.
This session is appropriate only for qualified Remedial Massage Therapists and Myotherapists (or equivalent) and is designed to give you tools that you can practically apply immediately in your clinic. Thoracic mobility can often be overlooked amongst the prominent cervical and lumbar techniques. Clients seldom complain of pain purely in their thoracic region, but thoracic restriction often lies behind the surface, impacting and prolonging many common neck and back pain concerns. This session will introduce you to several Mulligan techniques for the thoracic region. These techniques will allow you to see immediate changes in clients with a range of conditions, are not taxing on the body and are extremely effective.
