AAMT has had several members notify the association, that there is an alleged scam circling at the moment, targeting Massage Therapists.
If you receive an international call / email claiming to be organising a massage service for a team of travelling business men and women, please take care. They may ask you a series of questions including a discussion about a credit card so they can organise a translator on your behalf.
This is a scam.
You should terminate the phone call or delete the email as soon as you suspect something is amiss.
It is important to never give your credit card number to a person or company you do not know or have not had legitimate dealings with in the past.
