Course description:

Restoring Optimal Function – Neck and Shoulder Distance Education Workshop

This workshop is designed to understand the science behind rehabilitation exercises, in order to strengthen those poorly functioning muscles associated with neck and shoulder dysfunction. We aim to give you a clear understanding of how the teams of muscles work together to ensure a strong functional upper body. The information is practically orientated and easily implemented into your client’s programs.

Core & Pelvis

It is expected participants have completed some previous training to a Certificate IV level or equivalent in their chosen field, and have some knowledge of anatomy and physiology. Participants registered with Fitness Australia must have completed Certificate IV in Fitness or equivalent.

Workshop Description:

This is an intensive 6 hour workshop which delivers all the latest concepts in designing programs for pelvic and core stability. The workshop will guide you through practical sessions and demonstrate how to design specific and progressive exercise programs to address chronic conditions which arise due to weakened pelvic stability, including: bursitis, osteitis pubis (groin pain) and sacro-iliac joint pain to name a few. This is essential knowledge and the foundation to build any rehabilitation or progressive strengthening exercise program.

Fascia & Foam Roller Distance Education

This 5 hour practical workshop is designed to demonstrate a range of fantastic myofascial release techniques and stability exercises using the foam rollers and these can be incorporated immediately into your client’s program. The theory section will cover the histology and cellular make up of fascia and the specific “fascial trains” which weave their way through our bodies, providing support. A large portion of the workshop is spent performing the practical exercises and we guarantee that you will be slightly taller and more relaxed by the end of the workshop!
