Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre
27-28 May 2017
We are excited to announce the launch of our Call for Presenters application process for the 2017 AAMT National Conference.
- Call for presenters opens 12 July 2016
- Submissions due by 31 July 2016
Now in is 13th year, the AAMT National Conference provides the opportunity for members to come together for activities including key note presentations, hand-on workshops, exhibition and networking opportunities over 2 days.
The theme for the 2017 conference is ‘Towards Excellence – Defining our Future’.
The 2016 AAMT National Conference attracted just over 300 attendees in Hobart Tasmania and next year’s event is likely to attract over 500 delegates.
Please note that while presenters may be from commercial organisations, presentations should be non-commercial in nature. Organisations seeking to promote their commercial interests should do so by exhibiting and/or sponsoring the conference.
Presentations should ideally fall into the following categories:
Keynote presentations are included in next year’s program. The presentation should be 45-60 minutes in duration with a PowerPoint/Keynote presentation.
Hands-on workshops are very popular with delegates. We have access to massage tables to allow presentations that reflect a clinical environment. Alternatively, yoga mats have also been used as part of technique-based hands-on workshops in previous conferences as well.
The timing of the Hands-on Workshop is divided up into 3 segments within the day as follows: 45 minutes followed by lunch, 1.5 hours followed by Afternoon Tea and finally 1 hour after Afternoon Tea (total 3 Hours 15 mins). The workshop is then presented to a different group of attendees the following day.
Technical Presentations take place in our plenary theatre and are short, concise presentations of 45-60 minutes in duration. A typical session would include a short Powerpoint/Keynote presentation followed by a Technical Demonstration on stage which can include a massage table. A camera person would be on stage filming live and up close which is viewed on the large screens in the plenary theatre.
Submissions are due 31 July 2016
