Work, Health & Safety (WHS)

Safe Work Australia develops national policy to improve WHS and workers' compensation arrangements across Australia. As a business owner, you must meet the WHS requirements set out in the acts and regulations in your state or territory. In most cases, following an approved code of practice would achieve compliance with the health and safety duties in a jurisdiction's WHS Act and Regulations. Codes of practice deal with particular issues and do not cover all hazards or risks that may arise.

“The National Data Notification System comes into effect on 22 February. If you’re a small business in the health care arena, you will be covered by this. Body Mechanics - Reminder!

To measure the appropriate working height of your portable (manual) table:

i. stand up straight beside your table

ii. the top of the table should meet the tip of your middle finger

Remember every client is a different size and shape. It is easier to work with your table a little on the low side.
