  • Medibank Status


    AAMT, as with all other Associations have not been advised anything official from Medibank. AAMT is awaiting their official letter which outlines the revised eligibility criteria.

    Until we have an absolute and determine what action AAMT will take, there is no new information Associations can offer other than meetings with Medibank and all Associations have highlighted some areas that we are currently negotiating.

  • Natural therapies conduct code consultation welcome


    the AAMT welcomes the recent in ‘principle agreement’ by Australia’s Health Ministers to strengthen state and territory health complaints mechanisms via a single national Code of Conduct for unregistered health practitioners.

  • AAMT Election Opens in Western Australia


    The Australian Association of Massage Therapists Ltd (AAMT) has made arrangements with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) to conduct an election for a Director from Western Australia. Nominations open 20th August and forms can be downloaded at the following below.

  • Standing Council on Health: Regulation of Unregistered Health Practitioners


    At its recent Standing Council on Health face to face meeting, Health Ministers considered the Decision Regulatory Impact Assessment.

    AAMT supports the extension of Unregistered Practitioners laws and mutual recognition of prohibition orders of unprofessional therapists across States and Territories.
